The coach of Al-Zawraa team, Haidar Obeid, expressed his disappointment after the surprising loss to Al-Qasim with a score of two goals to one, in the match that took place as part of the 35th round of the Iraqi Stars League, confirming that the team did not perform at the required level, especially in the first half.

Obeid said after the match:

"I think we entered the match with excessive confidence, and perhaps this affected us at the beginning. We were the better side in terms of possession and playmaking, but Al-Qasim capitalized on our defensive mistakes and scored two quick goals that disrupted our plans."

He added:

"In the second half, we were clearly better, and we reduced the deficit early, but we failed to convert our dominance into more goals. Al-Qasim played with discipline and relied on the offside trap that halted many of our attempts."

The young coach confirmed that today's loss is painful but will not deter the team from its ambitions:

"We are at an important stage of the league, and we are fighting to maintain second place. We will not raise the white flag, and there are still tough rounds ahead that require great focus. We need to correct the mistakes quickly, especially in terms of defensive organization."

Obeid concluded his statements by saying:
