Mascherano: We Missed Many Opportunities Against Al Ahly and Weren't Successful Enough
Javier Mascherano, the coach of American Inter Miami, confirmed that his team was not successful enough during the match against Al Ahly, which took place early Sunday in the first round of the Club World Cup and ended in a goalless draw 0-0.
In statements via the 'DAZN' television network, Mascherano said: "We missed many opportunities against Al Ahly, and we weren't successful enough... but this is football."
He added: "We wanted to start the Club World Cup with a victory, but that didn't happen."
He continued: "We played at home, and we had many fans all around the world, which is normal when you have a player like Lionel Messi."
