Former Zamalek Star: I Will Not Support Al-Ahly in the Club World Cup
Osama Hassan, the former Zamalek star, confirmed that he will not support Al-Ahly in the Club World Cup.
The tournament kicks off early Sunday when Al-Ahly faces Inter Miami in the first round of the championship.
Osama Hassan said in a video on his official Facebook account: "Today's match is very easy; the Miami team is all old players, and Messi is just a name now, and this is what I tell Zamalek; there should be no emotions involved."
He continued: "Al-Ahly can easily win, and if they don't, it will be a problem. For me, I will never support Al-Ahly nor do I like Al-Ahly; Al-Ahly has its fans and symbols who should support them."
He added: "I am required to support Zamalek; we have disasters in the club. What do I have to do with Al-Ahly? I didn't bring a coach or a sports director, and people are sleeping in bliss, so today I come out to talk about the injustices and emotions that the Zamalek fans need to erase from their minds."
He continued: "The difference between us and the competitors has become a disaster for almost a quarter of a century, because every board of directors comes with its men and tells you about injustices; they stole a player from us. Well, when you had financial power, you took Abdullah El-Said easily. We haven't seen contract renewals, players, coaches, or any plans; I am exhausted from the many problems of Zamalek.
