Opta Computer Predicts the Winner of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

The giant computer of the global Opta network revealed its predictions for the team that will win the title of the first edition of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, under its new format with the participation of 32 teams, which will be hosted by the United States from June 14 to July 13 this year.

The Egyptian Al Ahly Club is participating in the tournament, in Group A alongside Inter Miami from the USA, Porto from Portugal, and Palmeiras from Brazil, and its journey is facilitated by facing Inter Miami early on Sunday, June 15.

According to Opta's predictions, Paris Saint-Germain tops the list of contenders to win the tournament with a probability of 18.5%, following a fantastic season in which they won the treble of Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the UEFA Champions League under the leadership of Luis Enrique. Manchester City follows with a probability of 17.8%, then Bayern Munich with 12.8%, and Inter Milan with 12.3%. Meanwhile, Real Madrid ranks fifth with 9.8% and Chelsea sixth with 8.4%.

Borussia Dortmund ranked seventh with 5.4%, followed by Atletico Madrid with 5.1%, Juventus with 3.6%, and Benfica in tenth place with 3.3%.

As for Al Ahly, it ranked 17th among the contenders, with a 41.1% chance of qualifying for the Round of 16, 10.1% for reaching the quarter-finals, and 2.6% for reaching the semi-finals, while its chance of qualifying for the final is 0.7%, and its probability of winning the tournament is 0.2%.

Al Ahly shares the same winning probability with Inter Miami, the host team, which ranks 16th, while Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia surpasses both teams by ranking 15th with a probability of 0.3%.
