Mohamed Farouk, the former star of Al Ahly, believes that it would have been better for an Egyptian coach to take the position of head coach for the red team.

Farouk said during his appearance as a guest with Omar Rabea Yassin on his program "Man to Man" via his official page: "I wished that a world-class coach would take charge of Al Ahly during the Club World Cup, especially since Ribeiro's first experience is coaching Orlando Pirates."

He added: "As long as a world-class coach was not brought in, a national coach would have been better, especially since there are prominent names like Hossam Al Badri, Ali Maher, and Emad Al Nahas who have achieved remarkable results."

He continued: "Hossam Al Badri delivered impressive results during his time coaching Al Ahly."
