Jonathan Tah Approaches Participation with Bayern Munich in the Club World Cup
Reports have confirmed that Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to buy the remaining duration of German defender Jonathan Tah's contract, with the aim of officially including him before the start of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
According to what was reported by the German network "Sky Sport", Bayern Munich will pay an amount of 800,000 euros, in addition to bonuses that could exceed one million euros, in order to enable Tah to participate in the tournament wearing the Bavarian team’s jersey.
Tah's contract with Leverkusen was set to expire on June 30, which would have prevented him from participating in the early stages of the tournament, but the new agreement allowed Bayern Munich to include him in the squad heading to the United States next Tuesday, in preparation for their first match against Auckland City on Sunday.
It is worth mentioning that FIFA opened an exceptional transfer window for clubs participating in the tournament from June 1 to June 10, in order to give them the opportunity to make necessary contracts before the competitions begin.
Jonathan Tah played 49 matches with Bayer Leverkusen in the past season, totaling 4,399 minutes, during which he scored 4 goals and provided one assist.
