Marquinhos, the captain of Paris Saint-Germain, expressed his intense feelings after his team won the UEFA Champions League title for the first time in the club's history, in statements to the press following the match.

Marquinhos said: "It's a mix of joy and all the emotions we've experienced together. I have suffered and grown with this team. I think of all the players who have been here and didn't succeed, my role models Thiago Silva, Lucas, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Di Maria, there are so many players who passed through and deserved this too."

He added: "Today we arrived and brought the cup home. I think of them and all the fans, everyone who was at Parc des Princes, and everyone around the world, I love you, enjoy, and we will enjoy here."

He continued: "This is the most beautiful day, my family is here with me, it was a big goal. I think when we came, no one believed we could reach this point, we have suffered and worked hard for 12 years, this title is ours, we are bringing it home, I am very happy."
