Inzaghi: We Dream of Winning the Champions League Title, and We Will Play with Confidence and Full Preparedness
Friday 30-05-2025
Simone Inzaghi, the head coach of Inter Milan, held a press conference this evening to discuss his team's preparations for the match against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final, scheduled to take place tomorrow evening at Allianz Arena, as part of the 2024/2025 season.

Inzaghi said: "The preparations for this match are different from the final against Manchester City two years ago; each match has its own circumstances, and since the open media day, we realize that we need to focus on the smallest details."

He added: "We have only one training session left; all players are ready. We have played 59 matches this season, and I have only been able to rely on the entire team three times, but I am happy with what we have achieved."

Regarding his future amid rumors linking him to a move to the Saudi league, specifically to Al Hilal, Inzaghi clarified: "I will answer this question for the last time; the focus now is on the Champions League, not on my future. The club supports me, and we will have discussions after the final that serve Inter's interest."

He continued: "We are very excited; we deserve to reach the final. We have shown desire and determination since the first match against Manchester City, and my team has won a lot over the past four years."

Inzaghi added: "We have lost sometimes, and that is football, but we are proud of what we have achieved. Tomorrow we will represent Inter Milan with all passion; this tournament is a childhood dream. I could not play in the final as a player, and now I am experiencing my second final as a coach."

On recovering from the loss of the Serie A title to Napoli, Inzaghi said: "We dealt with it mentally excellently; the players have overcome the disappointment. We will play the final without obsession, with focus and character, and that is what I have sensed from the players recently."

Regarding the match against Paris Saint-Germain, he pointed out: "We know very well that we are facing a top-class team, the best in Europe in terms of possession and quality, and we also excel in possession, and we will strive to keep the ball and avoid losing it."

He added: "We have great respect for coach Luis Enrique; I appreciate him on both a technical and personal level, and we know very well that we will face a very strong opponent, so we are working on preparing a clear plan."

Inzaghi concluded his statements by saying: "We are calm, and we have players who know well how finals are played. We have worked excellently throughout the week, and we hope to present our fans with what makes them happy tomorrow."
