Lautaro Martinez: We Are Ready to Win the Champions League, and We Know What to Do Against Paris
Lautaro Martinez, the captain of Inter Milan, expressed his confidence in his team's ability to claim the Champions League title when they face Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow, Saturday, in the final.
He said: "I have achieved important titles like the World Cup and Copa America, and many championships with Inter, and this title is what I lack. Playing in another final means a lot to me, and we will try with all our strength to bring it back to Milan."
He added: "Finals are decided by details, and those who know how to control them are the ones who win. We know very well what we need to do to face a talented team like Paris Saint-Germain."
Regarding his role as team captain, he clarified: "Being a captain carries greater responsibilities. For me, every match is a final, but tomorrow's match is different; it is a real final. We respect Paris Saint-Germain, but we believe in our ability to win."
Commenting on his nomination for the Ballon d'Or, he said: "Individual awards are not on my mind right now; my goal is to achieve the title that Inter has been waiting for for 15 years and to make our fans happy."
Regarding the future of coach Simone Inzaghi, he explained: "We get this question a lot, but we are calm. The coach is here working hard every day and helping us a lot, and all we are thinking about now is winning for him and for our fans."
Concerning Paris Saint-Germain player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, he said: "We know him well from our matches against Napoli; he is a player who loves spaces and one-on-ones, and we will keep a close eye on him."
Lautaro concluded his statements by saying: "We will monitor all the elements of the Paris team; they have great quality. We have one final training session, and we will try to prepare in the best way to achieve victory."
