Mariska: We're Heading in the Right Direction, We Deserved the Win

Chelsea coach Enzo Mariska appeared in a press statement after the victory against Manchester United with a score of 1-0 in the 37th round of the Premier League.

The coach said, "I felt a great deal of confidence because I know how difficult it is to play against United. We expected a very tough match. They played very well. I was completely confident; overall, it was a match where we could perform well and score a goal."

He added, "I watched five or six or seven matches against any team. I have never seen United this strong before - they played man-to-man, and it was very difficult. I think we played a wonderful match without the ball. The team was very strong until the end, and we tried to apply more pressure, and I believe we deserved the win."

He continued, "It's good to work on some solutions and then score."

Regarding Marc Cucurella, who scored the only goal of the match, he said: "He is an excellent player. It’s about the right timing and being in the right place at the right moment; Cucurella is very smart and clever."

On the criticism Chelsea receives from the press, he stated: "For me, the problem lies with you - the press. You think Chelsea is the same as it was years ago. It’s not the same team."

He concluded, "It's about building something important. People need to trust us - we are heading in the right direction."
