Guardiola: We will face a strong team, but we will fight for victory
Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, spoke about the anticipated match against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final, emphasizing that his team aims to win the title and make the fans happy, stressing the importance of this stage in the team's season.
Manchester City will face Crystal Palace tomorrow, Saturday, at Wembley Stadium, at 6:30 PM Cairo time.
Guardiola said: "We want to win for our fans, and I thank them for coming to London. Winning is always better than losing, and last year we played the final after winning the league for the fourth consecutive time; perhaps we weren't at our best focus then, but now we return to competition after a year, and our goal is to achieve the title."
Regarding the condition of midfielder Rodri, the Spanish coach commented: "His condition is much better now, and I will talk to the doctors today; when he is 100% ready, he will definitely start."
He confirmed: "This is not the time to talk about transfers; we are just hours away from the FA Cup final. I have 24 exceptional players, and I will not comment on anything related to the future right now."
On the strength of the Crystal Palace team, he said: "They have great speed and attacking quality; Mateta is a very strong striker and has troubled Aston Villa's defense, and Wraton is an excellent midfielder who communicates well with his teammates on the field. They have an organized defense, and their set pieces are among the best in the Premier League. The match will be difficult, which is normal in finals."
Guardiola concluded his remarks by praising Crystal Palace's coach, saying: "Oliver Glasner has built a wonderful and strong team; reaching the final against us is a significant achievement. For me, participating in the final for the third time is a great honor; we came to win, and we must deliver a great match."
