The English club Tottenham has begun its efforts to strengthen its defensive line during the summer transfer window, as it aims to sign Brazilian star Vanderson, the right-back for French team Monaco, in anticipation of Pedro Porro's departure this summer.

According to reports from 'CaughtOffside', Tottenham is currently leading the race to sign Vanderson, amidst interest from Liverpool as well, which is looking for a replacement for Arnold who is expected to move to Real Madrid.

However, with the Reds nearing a deal for Dutch player Jeremy Frimpong, the path seems clear for Spurs to finalize the deal.

Vanderson's price is estimated at around £30 million, following a remarkable season he had with Monaco in Ligue 1, and Tottenham officials believe that signing him will provide a significant boost to the right-back position, especially if they qualify for the Champions League by winning against Manchester United in the Europa League final.
