Officially: The Libyan Federation Announces Suspension of Sports Activities Until Further Notice
The Organizing Committee of Competitions at the Libyan Football Federation has announced the suspension of all matches in various tournaments and competitions overseen by the committee in the second region "the western region", primarily including the Libyan Premier League, until further notice.
The announcement was made via the committee's official page on "Facebook", without clarifying the direct reasons or specifying a date for the resumption of football activities. However, the decision comes amid unstable security conditions, which have recently witnessed armed clashes in the capital, Tripoli.
The Libyan league features several Egyptian players and coaches, most notably Hossam El Badry, the head coach of Ahli Tripoli, and Hadi Khashaba, the sports director of the club, alongside Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba, a player for the Libyan Union, and Ahmed Yasser, a player for Al-Tahadi.
It is worth mentioning that the Libyan league is considered one of the important tournaments in North Africa, and in recent years has seen remarkable participation from Arab professionals, despite the security challenges facing the country.
