Barcelona has reached a final agreement with its German coach Hans Flick to extend his contract for an additional season until June 2027, following a meeting between the coach and his agent, Pini Zahavi, with the club's president Joan Laporta at a famous restaurant in Barcelona.

This agreement came after the team won against Real Madrid with a score of 4-3 in the Clasico, marking Flick's fourth victory this season over the traditional rival, bringing the Catalan team closer to officially securing the La Liga title.

Flick's current contract was set to expire in June 2026, but the team's outstanding performance under his leadership prompted the management to ensure his continuation, without including an optional additional year, in respect of the coach's preference for short-term contracts.

Barcelona is expected to officially announce the renewal after winning the La Liga title, as the club awaits the right moment to celebrate collective successes and renew trust in Flick's technical project.
