Saturday 10-05-2025
The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, headed by Ahmed Diab, commented on the crisis of deducting 3 points from Al Ahly due to their withdrawal from the match against Zamalek in the first round of the final phase of the Egyptian Premier League.

A source from the Clubs Association stated in remarks to reporters on Saturday evening that the association has not made any statements regarding the issue of the 3 points or not.

The source confirmed that the decision of the Clubs Association was sent on March 15 and March 30 to the Appeals Committee, accompanied by the rationale for its issuance, in accordance with the regulations approved during the current football season.

It was noted that the Clubs Association is awaiting the Appeals Committee's decision on May 15 regarding the summit match, and Taha Ezzat, the competitions manager, is to appear before the committee, as per the summons request.

At the same time, it was pointed out that the Clubs Association is no longer a party to the decision after it was referred to the Appeals Committee headed by Counselor Mohamed Abdo Saleh.
