Saturday 10-05-2025
Duhok coach Masoud Miral confirmed that his team aspires to return to the winning path when facing Al-Student in the postponed match from round 18, pointing out that the match will not be easy against a team that is experiencing one of its best periods this season, but he emphasized that Duhok is ready to respond and challenge despite the pressure of postponed matches.

He said: "We enter the match with clear ambitions, which is to achieve a positive result that helps us get closer to the top teams. We know well that the task will not be easy against a complete and organized team like Al-Student, but we have prepared ourselves well for this confrontation."

He added: "Al-Student has been performing at a high level this season under the leadership of coach Bassem Qassem, and their recent results reflect the amount of work and harmony within the team. Nevertheless, we have our own tools and technical options that can make a difference."

He continued: "We went through a period of natural regression after winning the Gulf Champions League title, which is expected after the pressure of tournaments, but today we possess a new spirit and high focus in the local league, and we have postponed matches that represent opportunities to strengthen our position and compete until the end."

He completed: "The players understand the importance of every point, and we play every match as if it is a final. There is no room for losing focus, and we will fight to return with three points despite the difficulty of playing away from home."

He added: "Our goal is to remain within the competition for the title, and we have a distinguished group of players who have proven their worth in major tournaments. We respect Al-Student and their fans, but we come to Baghdad with a desire to win, and we will give everything we have on the field."
