Olmo: We dream of winning everything, and we are ready for the Inter battle
Dani Olmo, the Barcelona midfielder, spoke at a press conference before the match against Inter Milan in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final, confirming the team's readiness to return to the final of the tournament.
Olmo said: "It is a decisive match, and our motivation is at its highest level; it is the Champions League semi-finals, and we are playing to reach the final for the first time in ten years. We are ready and excited for this historic moment."
He continued: "I am very happy; I came here for one goal, which is to win titles, and we have already won two out of four possible titles. We have gone through difficult moments, but I am fine now, and all my focus is on the present and helping the team."
He added: "We fully realize that we are going through an important week. Tomorrow we play to qualify for the Champions League final, and after that, we face Real Madrid in the Clasico. We know the difficulty of the challenge, but we want to win both matches."
He confirmed: "The first leg was balanced, and we could have defended better in some moments. Our goal in the return leg is to win, keep our net clean, and deliver a strong performance that guarantees our qualification."
He pointed out: "Playing in a stadium like Giuseppe Meazza might give Inter an advantage, but we have played in difficult stadiums like the Metropolitano, Bernabeu, and Signal Iduna Park and achieved good results. These stadiums motivate us even more."
He continued: "Victories are achieved through collective depth and solidarity among players. The more we play as a single unit, the closer we are to winning, and this is our key now."
Regarding ambitions to win all titles, he said: "Yes, I envisioned myself in this situation as we compete for all titles. This is my first season with Hans Flick, but we are all united behind his idea, and we do not need to change anything; we are on the right track."
On the team's physical condition, he added: "We are in very good physical shape; we place great importance on recovery and rest, and I see the team fully prepared for this decisive confrontation."
Regarding Lamine Yamal and his brilliance, he said: "What Lamine is doing does not surprise me; we know who he is and understand his importance to us. I have seen him shine in many matches, whether in La Liga or the Euros; he is calm and mature despite his young age."
About the participation of young players, he said: "We live this atmosphere as if it were a party; the presence of young players eases the tension, but we older ones guide and help them. We have a healthy group and one goal: to win."
He added: "Maybe I haven't scored a goal yet, but having this number of La Masia graduates in the team says a lot about the quality of this academy. We have known each other for a long time, and this helps us on the pitch."
Regarding coach Hans Flick, he said: "He is a coach very close to us, knows exactly what he wants, and his style relies on attacking play. We trust him and his coaching staff completely."
