Ali Abdul Jabbar: We Were Closer to Winning the Three Points Against Al-Qasim
Ali Abdul Jabbar, the coach of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, expressed his regret for losing two precious points in the competition struggle, after the positive draw with Al-Qasim team with a goal for each side in the Iraqi Stars League, confirming that his team was closer to achieving victory.
He said: "We entered the match with the aim of achieving victory and getting closer to the top, but we failed to exploit the opportunities that were available to us as required."
He continued: "The players had a good first half and we were able to score, but we lost focus at certain periods in the second half, which gave Al-Qasim a chance to come back."
He indicated: "We tried to make some changes to energize the attack and control the midfield, but haste and lack of precision in the final touch prevented us from scoring additional goals."
He emphasized: "We need to quickly review our mistakes and regain our balance, especially since the upcoming phase does not allow for losing more points if we want to continue competing for the title."
He concluded his remarks: "We have great confidence in the players and their ability to compensate, we will work on addressing the negatives and preparing better for the upcoming matches."
