Tuesday 08-04-2025
Mohamed Awad, the goalkeeper for Zamalek, confirmed that tomorrow's match against Stellenbosch will be difficult.

Zamalek will face Stellenbosch tomorrow, Wednesday, in the return leg of the African Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

Awad said in the press conference before the match: "Zamalek has prepared well for the match, and we are facing an organized team that plays collective football. Tomorrow's match is difficult, and everyone is focused on achieving victory and qualifying for the semi-finals."

He added: "Tomorrow's match is important, and we are required to score and not concede goals. Everyone is focused on achieving a positive result, especially with the presence of Zamalek fans in tomorrow's match to motivate the team."

He continued: "Not conceding goals in the first leg is a good thing, and the team needs to focus in tomorrow's match. The players have a lot of experience that helps them handle the match well to achieve the required goal of qualifying for the semi-finals."

He added: "The competition with Mohamed Sobhi for the goalkeeper position is a good thing and in the interest of the team. Whoever participates must give their best for the benefit of Zamalek."

Awad continued: "Zamalek seeks to win in any tournament it participates in, and our goal is to win the Confederation Cup title for the second consecutive season. This season has seen the addition of some players to the team who were not present in the previous edition, such as Abdullah El-Said, who is a significant addition to the team and a supportive factor for Zamalek."

He concluded: "The Zamalek fans are the number one player, and the team's matches at Cairo Stadium with fans are different from the other matches we play without fans."
