Omar Gaber: We hoped to win two titles last season to please the fans

Omar Gaber, a player for Zamalek's first football team, confirmed that the White Knights were hoping to clinch two titles last season to bring joy to their supporters.

Omar Gaber, during the celebration of winning the Premier League title for last season with Zamalek, said: "I am happy to be at Zamalek, the club where I grew up since I was 5 years old, and I am even happier to be among legends and the great Zamalek fans who support us in tough times as well as in good times."

He added: "We all know the problems and difficulties we faced last season, but thank God, thanks to our players and everyone close to the team, we managed to achieve something great."

Omar Gaber continued: "We hoped to secure two titles by the end of the season, as our fans deserve to celebrate. However, it wasn't meant to be. Thank God we managed to win the league at a very important time for a significant generation."

The Zamalek player stated: "Before I became a player at Zamalek, I was a fan, and I know very well how the supporters feel during the matches. What I can assure you is that the players give their all for the Zamalek badge and its fans."
