Lampard on the Brink of Returning to the Premier League
Tuesday 08-04-2025
Media reports have revealed that Frank Lampard, the current manager of Coventry City, is among the candidates to take over as coach of English club Southampton following their relegation from the Premier League to the Championship.

The British newspaper "The Sun" confirmed that Lampard is one of the top options after the dismissal of coach Ivan Juric following the team's 3-1 defeat against Tottenham in the 31st round of the Premier League.

Despite the presence of other names, such as Danny Rohl, manager of Sheffield Wednesday, on the list of candidates, it seems that Lampard has a strong chance of taking on the role, especially since he led Coventry to seventh place in the Championship standings with 57 points.

It is worth noting that the 46-year-old Lampard has previously managed Derby County, Chelsea, and Everton before starting his current role with Coventry last November.
