Laimer: The Final is Every Player's Dream, and Müller is Irreplaceable
Monday 07-04-2025
Austrian midfielder Konrad Laimer of Bayern Munich has confirmed that facing Inter Milan in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League represents a crucial stop on the path to the bigger dream of reaching the final, which will be held at the Allianz Arena.

Regarding the match against Inter Milan, Laimer said: "We are expecting a tough match against a very strong opponent. We are in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, which is the stage that every player dreams of reaching. We know well that Inter is one of the strongest teams we can face this season, but we believe in our ability to hurt them."

He added: "It's true that we are suffering from many injuries, but we are not looking for excuses. We know how to defend as a team, even in the absence of big names like Alphonso Davies and Upamecano. It's not just about individuals, but about the collective system."

He continued: "Achieving a good result in the first leg will be an important key. We saw what Bayer Leverkusen did in the league, how their comfortable win in the first leg helped them manage the second leg with confidence and calm. We want to replicate that, but we must be patient against a defensively organized team like Inter Milan."

He added: "We are only four matches away from the Champions League final. For me, playing in the final at our stadium would be a big dream. It's something that doesn't happen often, and every player at Bayern Munich aspires to achieve it."

Laimer concluded his remarks by saying: "Müller is irreplaceable. He is a legend within the team, and what he provides us before every match is unbelievable. I learned about his departure just like you did, and I will try to enjoy every moment with him in the coming weeks."
