Liverpool Sends Envoy to Madrid for Rodrigo Deal
Wednesday 16-07-2025
Spanish newspaper "AS" reported that Liverpool has shown serious interest in acquiring Brazilian star Rodrigo Goes from Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window.

The newspaper mentioned in its report that the English club sent an official envoy – the famous agent Pini Zahavi – to the capital Madrid to initiate direct negotiations with the royal club.

The Reds are looking to strengthen their squad with several strong signings this summer, and they have prioritized Rodrigo to reinforce the left-wing position, while Real Madrid has set the player's selling price at 100 million euros, which is a high amount but remains within the reach of major clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal.

According to the report, Rodrigo still prefers to stay at Santiago Bernabeu, and a meeting with the club's management is expected to discuss his future in the coming weeks.

The source concluded that the player would not oppose the idea of leaving if the club decides to sell him, provided he is granted the freedom to choose his destination, with clear interest from him in the Premier League, and Bayern Munich also has him on their radar.

The source added that Liverpool will not make any official offers unless Colombian forward Luis Diaz, who is wanted by Barcelona and Bayern Munich, departs.
