Ancelotti: This is what we lacked, and Mbappé makes the difference

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti appeared at a press conference after the 3-2 victory over Leganés in La Liga's 29th round.

He added: "We weren't in a good position, but we had the strength to come back from behind and win in the end. I don’t remember a match where we didn’t suffer. The important thing is that we all fight and sacrifice. There are no easy matches, and we are aware of that. We have to fight."

Regarding Mbappé's performance: "He has become more active and present on the field. He has adapted very well and makes a difference. This is what we want from him. He tried to execute the free kick yesterday in training, and it was successful. He was very effective. We gave him our trust today to take the set piece."

On the referee's decisions: "Leganés complains about the referees, and we also complain; their decisions were questionable, and I have nothing to add. Leganés complained about a penalty, and we complained about a foul on Ibrahim in their first goal. I didn’t see the potential penalty on Bellingham."

On Arda Güler: "He played well and showed his quality. He has excellent touches on the ball and great vision. He doesn't have the balance of our attackers, but he was useful, and I substituted him to give me more physical power and greater impact in attack."

And whether the title race is only between Real Madrid and Barcelona: "Atlético Madrid will fight until the end because they are a very strong team, and that's what any professional should do. We will also fight until the end."
