Spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente spoke to the press after the 2-2 draw against the Netherlands in the first leg of the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals.

The coach said: "Kobarci's injury? It's an ankle injury, we want him to recover by Sunday, and we'll see how he improves. It doesn't seem too serious, but there are only a few days left before the second leg, and we have to be cautious."

Regarding the match: "It was a tough match, we came out with this result after a lot of effort. We struggled a lot because we faced a strong opponent. We played brilliantly in the first and last minutes, then the Netherlands took the initiative, and the goal we conceded 50 seconds into the second half was extremely painful. We played with more enthusiasm and drive, but the performance ended with a great result, and we now know that we have to win at home in Valencia."

About the second leg: "We need to try to impose ourselves on the pitch, to regain our rhythm, which is difficult to achieve after long months of being apart, and to improve our passing accuracy, and to be more successful in this phase of play. But I am satisfied with what we saw. We have a lot of talent among us, and we are optimistic about the second leg."

On reaching 22 matches unbeaten: "The match was very tough against a very strong opponent. Look at the other qualifying matches. We wanted to break the historical record of not winning here, and that is very difficult."
