Vazquez: We Are Underrated, and This Is What We Showed
Real Madrid star Lucas Vazquez appeared in press statements after qualifying for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League on penalties against Atletico Madrid (4-2), following a 1-0 loss in the second leg and a 2-1 win in the first leg.
Vazquez said in his remarks: "The most important thing was to qualify. The team was generally superior, and penalties are a matter of luck, but the team showed until the end how much they wanted to qualify."
He added: "We showed the hunger that this team has in such an important match; we face criticism or are underrated, but we are in a good position in La Liga, in the Champions League quarter-finals, and in the Copa del Rey semi-finals."
Regarding the penalties: "We are fine, and we will fight until the end, and we won again. I missed a penalty, but with Rudiger's goal, I breathed a sigh of relief."
