The Spanish newspaper "AS" revealed that English club Liverpool has set the price for their French defender Ibrahima Konaté at €50 million for anyone wishing to sign him during the ongoing summer transfer window, amid the player's desire to move to Real Madrid.

The newspaper clarified that Konaté has informed Liverpool's management of his wish to transfer only to Real Madrid this summer, rejecting all attempts to renew his contract, which expires in June 2026.

However, Real Madrid insists on a financial offer ranging between €20 and €25 million, refusing to engage in financial bidding wars.

The newspaper pointed out that Liverpool is facing a complicated situation, as they do not want to lose the player for free after his contract ends, but at the same time do not intend to let him go for less than the set price, while Real Madrid plans to wait until the summer of 2026 if the English club does not agree to their current offer.

It is noteworthy that Konaté, who is 26 years old, joined Liverpool in 2021 from German club Leipzig and has had an impressive career with the team, being one of the key players for the French national team.
