Spanish club Real Madrid has finalized the renewal of young goalkeeper Ilya Voloshin's contract, who is seen as one of the most promising rising talents and the successor to Belgian Thibaut Courtois in the team's goalkeeping position for the coming years.

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Voloshin, who is 18 years old, signed his new contract with the Merengues on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, extending his stay with the team until June 2029.

The Ukrainian goalkeeper possesses outstanding physical attributes, standing at 2 meters tall, along with his skill in handling aerial balls and his ability to play with both feet, making him one of the most promising talents in Real Madrid's academy. The Spanish club had previously signed him from Rayo Majadahonda as part of their plan to strengthen the goalkeeping position with young talents.

Currently, the royal club occupies the second position in the La Liga standings with 57 points from 27 matches, tied with leaders Barcelona on goal difference.
