Chelsea star Marc Cucurella appeared in press statements after the 1-0 victory over Leicester City in the 28th round of the Premier League.

Cucurella said: "We knew we needed to defend with all our might, and the team showed a lot of passion today."

Regarding his goal: "I think Enzo passed me the ball and I saw that I had the option to shoot. I usually don't do that but I tried. We got the three points and we want to fight for our goals."

He added: "I am happy and in good shape; I needed to work very hard during my tough moments. There might be something I need to improve, which is to be more precise in the final third of the pitch."

He concluded: "In the last minutes, we showed energy, and the fans helped us in our tough moments when we were a bit tired. We are defending the same club, and we need to stick together. Support is very important when things are not going well."
