Romarinho stated in remarks to the media after the match: "We knew that the match would be difficult against a big team like Al Ahli, and such matches are decided by small details, which is exactly what happened."
He added: "The Saudi team succeeded in scoring two goals in the first half, and we tried to come back in the second half, but we did not succeed enough and only scored one goal."
