Ivan Toney matches Al-Somah and Ronaldo's record in Saudi Pro League

The achievement came after Toney's brilliance against Al Khaleej on Friday evening in the 11th round, as he scored two goals in Al Ahly FC's victory by four goals to one, continuing the English striker's impressive performances this season.

Omar Al-Somah reached 13 goals during his first 11 rounds with Al Ahly FC in the 2014-2015 and 2016-2017 seasons, while Cristiano Ronaldo and João Félix matched the same figure with Al-Nassr in the 2025-2026 season.

With this brace, Toney has taken sole possession of first place in the scoring chart of the Saudi Pro League with 13 goals, ahead of Al-Ittihad's Youssef En-Nesyri, who has eight goals, and Al-Qadisiyah's Mateo Retegui, who has seven goals.

Mateo Retegui scored a goal during the match between Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Hilal in the same round, but his team lost the encounter 3-2, in the match that took place at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.

Al Ahly FC's victory over Al Khaleej boosts their points tally to 21, placing them fifth in the Saudi Pro League standings, while Al Khaleej remains on 12 points in tenth place.

Ivan Toney, the English forward for Al Ahly FC, has taken the lead in the Saudi Pro League scoring charts after raising his tally to 13 goals, equalling a notable scoring record previously achieved by Omar Al-Somah, Cristiano Ronaldo, and João Félix.
