Barakat: Al Ahly is Capable of Advancing in the Club World Cup
Mohamed Barakat confirmed that Al Ahly is capable of qualifying for the Round of 16 in the 2025 Club World Cup.
Barakat stated on the "Al Qalaa Al Hamra" podcast: "Al Ahly has a strong team, and Mahmoud Hassan (Trezeguet) and Hamdi Fathi will join, along with the return of the loaned player Aliou Dieng for the World Cup. I believe they can initially qualify for the Round of 16."
Barakat pointed out that Al Ahly is the closest to winning the African Champions League.
Regarding Al Ahly's winter transfers, Barakat confirmed that Ashraf Bencherki is a talented player who makes a difference on his own.
