Al-Najaf collected three valuable points after defeating Al-Qasim with a score of 2-1 in a match that witnessed many exciting events, as part of the Iraqi Stars League for round 22.

Al-Najaf started the match strongly and managed to score an early goal through "Iyai Atimon" in the 10th minute, giving his team an advantage quickly. In the 15th minute, Al-Najaf was awarded a penalty kick taken by Dominic Mendy, but he failed to convert it into a goal.

In the second half, Al-Qasim returned to the match by scoring the equalizer through "Saif Rashid" in the 48th minute, but Al-Najaf responded quickly, as Muhammad Rida Hajim scored the second goal in the 50th minute, putting his team back in the lead.

Al-Najaf nearly added a third goal in the 76th minute through Ahmed Hassan Mackenzie, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
