O'Reilly: Happy with the two goals, and we aspire to win the FA Cup
O'Reilly was undoubtedly the star of the match, scoring two crucial goals, first equalizing in the 45+1 minute with a clever touch that turned a Kevin De Bruyne ball into the net, and then adding the second goal in the 76th minute with a superb header following an exquisite pass from Phil Foden.
O'Reilly spoke about the importance of his first goal, stating: "We knew that going into the locker room trailing by a goal would make things more difficult, but scoring the equalizer in the last moments of the first half lifted our spirits and gave us the confidence to come back strong in the second half."
The young City star confirmed that the team is determined to achieve the title, saying: "The FA Cup is a big and important tournament, and all English teams compete in it, and we strongly desire to win it this season."
He added: "Plymouth put up a strong fight and were a very tough team physically, they deserve respect for reaching this stage, but now we are in the quarter-finals and we will give everything we have to win the tournament."
O'Reilly also talked about playing alongside De Bruyne, saying: "You could say that Kevin De Bruyne returned to his best form against Plymouth, he is an amazing player, and that is clearly evident in training every day, he works very hard, and it is a pleasure for me to play alongside him."
