Spanish media reports have revealed the reason for defender Inigo Martinez's absence from Barcelona's training on Wednesday, February 26, following the team's 4-4 draw against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

According to "Mundo Deportivo," Martinez celebrated the arrival of his new baby, becoming a father for the third time after welcoming a new child who joins his sisters, Nicole and Paul. The defender received permission from the club to miss training to share these special family moments.

Martinez is expected to return to training on Thursday, February 27, where he will receive congratulations from his teammates and the coaching staff led by coach Hans Flick.

Barcelona continues its preparations for a tough match against Real Sociedad, scheduled for Sunday, March 2, at the Montjuic Stadium, as part of the Spanish league competition.
