Blanc: The month-long international break is long and impactful

Laurent Blanc, the technical director of the Jeddah Club, revealed how to exploit the upcoming international break, given the Saudi national team’s participation in the 26th Gulf Championship.

Blanc said during the press conference “In fact, we will work to develop the team during a long break. I respect the Gulf Cup championship and the break for it, but a month’s period is long and influential. I always respect international breaks and others.”

He added: “I hope we will not be affected by the stoppage.” Before facing Al Hilal in the King’s Cup, there are players from our team participating in the national team. I hope they will be in the best condition and ready after the Gulf participation.”

Regarding his team not participating in foreign tournaments and having more rest than competitors, he said: “This may be an advantage in not being pressured, but strong participations such as the Champions League are important in Preparing players in competing teams because they play every 3 days in some periods.”
