CAF punishes Algeria's MC for riots

The Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) imposed a penalty on the Mouloudia Club of Algiers due to riots in the second preliminary round match. From the African Champions League competition against the Tunisian Monastir Union.


The match witnessed riots in the stands and fireworks were thrown onto the field.


The committee decided to deprive MC of Algiers of its fans during 4 matches at home, two of which are effective, with the second part of the penalty being reactivated in the event of Any violations during the next 12 months.


The MC administration filed an appeal against the penalty.
