Saturday 14-03-2026
South African coach Rulani Mokwena announced that he has officially ended his association with MC Alger, after spending eight months as the head of the team's technical staff.

The club's management confirmed in a statement published on its official Facebook page that the coach activated a clause in his contract allowing him to terminate the agreement in exchange for paying two months' salary to the club if he wishes to leave.

The statement clarified that the decision came following a meeting between Mokwena and the club officials, where the coach expressed his desire to end his stint with the team after a period of eight months.

During this phase, the South African coach led the team to win the Algerian Super Cup title, and under his leadership, the team maintained its lead in the Algerian Professional League standings since the early rounds of the season, despite being eliminated from the Algerian Cup and the African Champions League competitions.

In conclusion of their statement, the management of MC Alger expressed gratitude to the coach and his technical staff for their efforts during their tenure with the team, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
