The Mouloudia Alger team exited the CAF Champions League group stage today, Saturday, after losing to South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 in the final round of the continental competition.

Under the leadership of South African coach Rulani Mokwena, the Algerian team failed to achieve the result that would have secured them a spot in the quarter-finals, ending their journey in third place with seven points.

This loss has a special significance for Mokwena, who previously coached Wydad Athletic Club, as he was unable this time to advance past the group stage and lead Mouloudia to the advanced rounds.
