Zlatko Dalic, coach of the Croatia national team, appeared in a  press conference before tomorrow’s match against Italy, in the third round of the group stage of the European Nations Cup, stressing that his team is ready for the confrontation.

Dalic said in his statements: “This is another match in a series of historic matches for us. We are ready and I think things will go well. Everyone is in good health except for Vida, who will not participate in the remainder of the tournament. Everything else is as it is.” It is fine and we are training that the knockout stage has already begun, we will not go home this early.”

He added: “I respect Spalletti and his achievements. He was a champion with Napoli.” He achieved high-level achievements. Italy is known for its tactics, and this is its strong advantage. It is also strong defensively. We have to be ready for everything in this match, be patient, control our nerves, and avoid falling into any provocations.”

He continued: “We did not start the tournament well and have not yet reached our best level. We concede goals easily compared to the World Cup in Qatar. We conceded one goal in the group stage. Now we have 5 goals in two matches. Some of the players have aged and we are playing.” Against strong competitors, I think the main problem is that we concede goals easily.”
