Reasons for requesting Bahrain to transfer its match against Indonesia
The Bahraini Federation published through its account on the social media platform “X”: “It will submit a request to transfer the match that will bring it together with the Indonesian team outside Indonesia in order to preserve the safety of the Bahraini team.”
The Bahraini Federation clarified that The national team players were subjected to online abuse and threats after the match that brought together the two teams ended in a positive draw with two goals for each team.
A member of the Executive Committee of the Indonesian Federation commented that there is no need to worry about the situation. The safety of the players, stressing that they will guarantee them all means of safety and comfort.
He added that the Indonesian people are friendly and good people in real life, despite their being noisy on the Internet.
