Egypt's coach reveals Mohamed Salah's injury
Hossam Hassan, coach of the Egyptian national team, revealed the reason behind allowing Liverpool star Mohamed Salah to leave the national team and not play in the match against Mauritania, which ended with a 1-0 victory for the Pharaohs on Tuesday.
Hossam Hassan said in press statements: “I respected Salah’s desire to give him a rest against Mauritania.”
He added: “The medical staff in Liverpool warned us against Salah’s participation against Mauritania, because He suffers from a back and joint injury.”
He concluded: “Salah’s participation against Mauritania would be a risk, and therefore we preferred not to have him participate with us.”
