Milan star: I rejected a huge offer to join the Roshen League
The player said in an interview with the newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" that he had the opportunity to leave European football and play in the Saudi Roshen League for a huge sum one year ago when he was among the ranks of the Spanish club Villarreal.
The player explained that the financial factor was not his motivation, saying: "Money? If there had been a problem, I would have gone to Saudi Arabia. A year ago they wanted me."
The player did not mention in his speech the name of the club he wanted to join or the value of the offer, but when he was pressed, he said: “Net 10 million euros per season? No no, it was much more than that.”
Milan club obtained the player's signature in the Mercato last summer, coming from Spain's Villarreal, and the player's contract with his club expires in June 2028.
