League association: 90% of clubs' requests in new Roshn schedule have been implemented

Mohammed Al-Kahl, the Director of Competitions at the Saudi Pro League, has revealed that the announcement of the new amendments to the Roshan League schedule is approaching, starting from the 13th round until the 21st round.

Al Kahl confirmed, during statements to the "Rotana Sport" program, that the association has successfully addressed about 90% of the clubs' requests after studying the observations and proposals that were raised during the recent workshop.

He explained that dealing with the demands of 18 clubs requires achieving a balance between the interests of all teams, noting the difficulty of scheduling matches for all clubs on the same day or at a unified time.

The competitions manager stated that the association has considered requests to schedule certain matches and has provided suitable slots in the calendar, taking into account the commitments of the teams participating in the AFC Asian Cup.

Al-Kahl pointed out that the matches linked to the AFC Asian Cup will be distributed over different rounds and days, according to organizational requirements, confirming a positive interaction and understanding among club representatives during the workshop.

It was pointed out that the league is working on completing coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the readiness of some stadiums and finalize the dates for several matches, in preparation for announcing the revised schedule in the coming days.

The adjustments were made following changes to the schedule, particularly the postponement of the AFC Asian Cup. January will see the staging of five matches, providing appropriate rest and recovery periods for the clubs.

Al-Kahl emphasized that recovery periods between matches are among the key criteria relied upon by the competitions management when scheduling and determining the timings of various encounters.

It has been confirmed that the league takes into account several factors when choosing match timings, the most prominent of which are prayer times, geographical differences between Al Riyadh and the eastern and western regions, as well as weather conditions and temperature levels.
