Barcelona's squad for the match against Atlético Madrid in La Liga
German coach Hans Flick has announced his squad for Barcelona's clash against Atlético Madrid this evening at the Metropolitano Stadium, as part of the twelfth round of La Liga.
Barcelona enter the match sitting atop the La Liga table with 30 points, two points ahead of Atlético Madrid in third place, while Real Madrid await the result of the clash after their victory over Valencia.
Barcelona's squad sees the continued presence of Egyptian forward Hamza Abdel Karim, who remains among the first team's selections, alongside the return of duo Eric García and Andreas Christensen, after both recovered from injury. This gives Flick additional options in the backline ahead of the upcoming clash.
The return of defenders comes at a crucial time for the German coach, especially after the team suffered from defensive absences in recent times, which included the duo alongside Jules Koundé and Xavi Espósito. Now, Flick can rely on a range of options, including João Cancelo, Alejandro Balde, Pau Cubarsi, Gerard Martín, and Alex Campos.
Rodri will miss the match due to a minor hamstring injury sustained during the Aston Villa clash. Meanwhile, Jules Koundé, Xavi Espasart, Dani Olmo, and Rony Bardhi continue to be absent from Barcelona's squad.
