Adeyemi's reduced appearances with Barcelona keep him out of Germany squad
Karim Adeyemi, winger for FC Barcelona, has been omitted from the Germany squad announced by Jürgen Klopp in preparation for the matches against Serbia and the Netherlands during the international break in November, amid a decline in his appearances with the Catalan team.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", Adeyemi, who returned to the national team’s plans last September, has participated in only 237 minutes out of 630 during his last 7 matches for FC Barcelona, and he did not start in the matches against Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Aston Villa, while he completely missed the last encounter.
On the attacking front, the player scored 3 goals and made 3 assists during the first 8 matches before the September break, but he settled for just one goal in the following seven matches, which he scored against Galatasaray, continuing his struggle to secure a starting spot in Hans Flick's lineup.
The Spanish newspaper noted that his exclusion represents a setback in his attempts to regain his place with the Germany national team, despite possessing speed, dribbling ability, and the capacity to exploit spaces.
