Theo Hernández, the Al Hilal full-back, has caused a stir following his omission from the France squad announced by Zinedine Zidane in preparation for the matches against Italy and Türkiye in the UEFA Nations League.

According to the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Al Hilal player posted a laughing emoji on his account on the X platform after the announcement of the France squad, before deleting the post shortly after.

Some followers linked the timing of the post to the decision to exclude Theo Hernández, suggesting it might mock Zidane's choices. However, the player did not clarify the true meaning of the message or confirm this interpretation.

This is the second exclusion of the left-back from France's squad under Zidane, having also missed the team's gathering in September.

The list also did not include Simon Bouapri, Hernández's teammate at Al Hilal, Kingsley Coman of Al Nassr, and Valentin Atangana of Al Ahly FC.

In contrast, Zinedine Zidane's selections include notable names such as Kylian Mbappé, Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué, Michael Oliseh, and Marcus Thuram.

Pablo Bagès has been called up for the first time, earning his first opportunity to represent the French national team at the international level.

France will face Italy in Milan on November 12, before taking on Türkiye in Bordeaux on November 15, as part of the UEFA Nations League group stage finale.
