Universitario rejects call-up for Kain Farah to Palestine national team due to late invitation

Peruvian club Universitario has refused to allow defender Kain Vara to join the Palestine national team during the current international break, despite his call-up to participate in the upcoming friendly match against Iran on November 14.

The club's decision, according to Peruvian journalist Gustavo Peralta, stems from the delay by the Palestine Football Association in sending the player's call-up and not adhering to the deadline set by FIFA, which is 15 days before the match.

Peralta explained that the Palestine national team invited Farah, who is 32 years old, but Unión Universitario decided to reject the call-up after it arrived outside the specified deadline, and thus the defender will not be able to represent the Fida'i in the upcoming friendly match.

Fara will remain with his Peruvian team during the international break, as Universitario prepares to continue its domestic competitions. It is worth noting that the player holds both Argentine and Palestinian nationalities.
