Palestine supports Saudi Arabia and expresses confidence in the success of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup

The Palestinian Football Association has renewed its solidarity with Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government, and people, in facing the attacks it is subjected to, affirming its support for everything that preserves the kingdom's security, stability, and the safety of its territories.

The federation, in an official statement, stressed the deep fraternal and historical relations that unite the Palestinian and Saudi peoples, appreciating the Kingdom's positions supporting the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people, and affirming that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia represent a fundamental pillar for the stability of the region.

In this context, the Palestinian Football Association expressed full confidence in the Kingdom's ability to organize and host the 2027 AFC Asian Cup according to the highest technical and organizational standards, reflecting its sporting status and the capabilities it possesses to host major continental competitions.

The statement pointed out that the Palestinian national team's participation in the upcoming tournament in Saudi Arabia holds special significance, especially as their journey in the competition will begin with a match against the Saudi national team in the opening game. This encounter embodies the deep sporting ties between the two countries and enhances the values of fair competition and closeness between peoples.
