Militão: The collective spirit was great, and the coach manages the group well
Brazilian defender Éder Militão has expressed his happiness at playing a full match for the first time since returning from his recent injury, during the clash against AEK Athens that ended with the royal team winning 3-2, praising the fighting spirit shown by his teammates until the last moments.
Éder Militão said in his post-match comments: "The goals were the result of teamwork, and Fede Valverde has indeed scored many goals from outside the box. It may seem easy, but it is not."
He added: "The team spirit was amazing, and the team did not stop fighting since the first goal, even though we started the match trailing. The group spirit was exceptional."
He continued about his physical condition after the absence: "I feel that I am in very good shape, although I am currently suffering from some pain. But I am happy to be back doing something I love very much, after six months of absence, and playing again for 90 minutes."
Éder Militão spoke about the quality of Real Madrid's squad and the team's ability to handle the pressure of matches, saying: "All players must be ready, as we are facing many matches in a short period of time, and the coach always ensures that all players are prepared."
He concluded his remarks: "Today, Endrick and Valverde participated, with Valverde scoring the winning goal. The coach is managing the group very well, and all the players are ready to get their chance and contribute to the team."
